Ding, I honestly couldn't bring myself to believe it. Yes I promoted it but there was never any emotion in my appeal of it to others. It seemed the most unfair to me the way it was taught. Hitler types being brought back after such torment and suffering put on others by them. How could I have peace even knowing that asshole was getting a second chance while someone else was dying in Armageddon because they had a suspicion of the WT man made religion or sincerely were born a Muslim? It was among the many cracks in the damn that broke and washed me away to freedom.

Resurrection, Reconstruction? What is it? It never made sense to me. Your opinion.
by Wasanelder Once ini never had much faith in whatever resurrection was.
what appealed to me about jw doctrines was the rejection of the "it's a mystery" defense of the indefensible.
when i would ask how going into non existence could be reversed when all the atomic parts of who we are had been scattered for thousands of years, the answer was "jehovah can do anything".

I never had much faith in whatever resurrection was. What appealed to me about JW doctrines was the rejection of the "It's a mystery" defense of the indefensible. When I would ask how going into non existence could be reversed when all the atomic parts of who we are had been scattered for thousands of years, the answer was "Jehovah can do anything". Also, if new materials are used, would we really be the same person, reconstructed? Doesn't that support the idea that there is some constant personality existing, at least as a blueprint? When we die we are alive "In God's Mind" was the usual answer. It might as well be "It's a mystery." Finally, if Jesus was brought back to life, didn't that undo the sacrifice since nothing was really lost? OK, he gave up the right to life forever as a perfect human, whoo'de'doo. He went from second in command to second in command with a crown. Big sacrifice. What are your thoughts on the idea of resurrection? Was it a problematic doctrine for you?

Over 20 years ago a relative who was in charge of the "Circuit" library at the Ass hall was asked to throw it all away. He saved the reel to reel tapes and gave them to me. He also gave me a copy of Heritage which I digitized and posted on YouTube years later. The tapes were the complete set of radio dramas from WBBR and distributed as PSA's to stations throughout the U.S.. I think they are very entertaining. They are in a soap opera form with each episode based on subjects like; "What's the smoke worth", "Gluttony" and a ton of other subjects. I just haven't posted them anywhere yet. Kinda lost interest. Could any of them be on your reels Lastman?

Do You Think It’s Time For Businesses To Reopen Even Though Coronavirus Is Not Obliterated?

One source says that there must be a 70% infection rate to achieve herd immunity. The isolation has kept it closer to 5%. Unless we achieve either 70% or have a vaccine there will be no closure any time soon. The question is, will you be willing to become part of the 65% infected and face possible death so others can by their Baby Yoda doll at Walmart?

Who is considered more bizarre?
by incognito2014 injws or mormons.
from a public point of view not from people within the religion as that would be obvious.. examples of extreme beliefs or behaviour would be useful..

I live in a Mormon community where they train missionaries. Yes, they do believe they will be gods. The problem I've had with those I've met is they aren't waiting to act like gods.

EVERY Religion has Hypocrites- even the TRUE One!
by MuchCloserLook inso, if you expect to find 'saints' with halos, you will never find real christians.. after over 30 years of being a jw, there are many things about the org that disturb me- yet no one else even acknowledges the only true god, as jesus referred to him.. not a 'they' or 'them' ('trinity')- but him!and he has always had the name jehovah (yehovah in hebrew)- even though the koine greek had no version of it when the nt was written.. so among the many things real christians have to endure- is often each other!

Thank goodness we're back to good ol' silly religious debates, but a debate of the cult that leads to mental slavery. Green Bible? You're an old adherent of the corporation. Long live the Knorr legacy. That means you.

Is this video about U.S. hospitals really true?
by The Fall Guy inthe reason i ask is that i got a call from a friend last week who had to go to one of the biggest hospitals in scotland because of an eye injury.. he said there wasn't one other single person seeking medical attention when he walked in - only medical staff standing around with nothing to do.
i was astounded, given the media reports.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=180&v=uzxhwyrkqtk&feature=emb_logo.

I was sent a link to a video of empty hospitals compared to news stories of crowded hospitals. So I did a bit of simple research and responded to the person who sent the video to me:
A healthy dose of skepticism is a good thing. It's always good to check sources and read comments. I found it instructive. Though accurate information can come from people with personal faults, check out Didi Vanh's channel to see that her other videos raise questions about her grip on reality. Some titles:
Is Covid19 a smokescreen for the coming fulfillment of the Hopi prophecy? (Atlas C19)
Dead Birds compilation (5G ??)
Cops Protecting 5G Installations @ Children's Schools!
Ants circling phone during incoming call
Corona and the microwave frequencies
FLAT EARTH AZIMUTH WEATHER MAP LIVE
Workings of the Stars In Earthly Substances - L. Kolisko
This is my favorite: 5G led weapon masked as a streetlight
Flat Earth Convention 2019 @Amsterdam : January announcements
PhD's Test Confirms No Curvature to the Earth
Bumblebees defy gravity! They do not fly, they LEVITATE!
I learned that street lamps are actually 5G weapons! Wouldn't you know it? And damn if I didn't miss last year's flat earth convention. I will never look at bumblebees the same way again.
If you read the comments there are many sound reasons why these videos are specious. I don't trust all the media outlets, but I don't think you can challenge the number of bodies since they can be confirmed easily. The projected number of needed ventilators etc. are worse case scenarios and the footage of hospitals is not date stamped so who knows when they were taken. I won't defend the media but I won't question the health workers who are fighting this thing.
I wish it was a conspiracy, then I wouldn't be as worried for my loved ones. Oh well. I'm just glad Didi took time off from her astrology and flat earth research to inform us. lol
Whether this is real or not, I guess time will tell. But I just don't believe anything Didi has to say

I am so pleased that with each passing year since I left the cult this kind of news is of lesser and lesser importance. If I were in the cult still I would count my blessings of not spending money to travel, house and feed myself in some dump to listen to the drivel. At least now you can sleep during talks without any public guilt.

Remember the Revelation book?
by wozza ini recall when it was released ,that's when i was a drone, how excited i felt at the prospect of reading it and formulating ways to sell it at the homes in my area.. i thought, finally a book to explain the last book in the bible and indeed one that the churches seemed to want to leave alone!.
i sold quite a few probably because of my enthusiasm and can still remember clearly the first day when i went knocking on doors with it ,and it's been decades since.. but over time it lost it's shine and my mind started to question the explanations in it due to the scene of other things being changed in the jw beliefs.. do you remember they flogged that book so many times in the book studies even when it was found to have "newer light " eclipsing it!.
who else remembers the printed pages with the official corrections to insert into the book ,so many that the book collapsed to be of no relevance anymore really.....what an embarrassment!.

The revelation book (...Grand Climax) was beautiful to look at. The illustrations were stunning. They really wrapped a turd in tinsel with that one. The explanation of the 7 trumpets being conventions in the 1920's really was comical. They lost a lot of credibility from that alone in my opinion
